“May the Lord the God of the spirits of all flesh provide a man, that may be over this multitude: And may go out and in before them, and may lead them out, or bring them in: lest the people of the Lord be as sheep without a shepherd.” Numbers 27:16-17
Dear God, thank You for the boundless gifts which You have bestowed upon me. Please help me to recognize and remember that all things come from You and that all things are possible with You. Please open my eyes as Jesus did his companions on the road to Emmaus so that I may see You present in all things, at all times. Allow me to see You in the rain as well as the sunshine, the pain as well as the pleasure, the sadness as well as the joy.
Lord, make me a better man. Shape me; transform me that I may become the leader that you intended. Teach me to respect all life. Teach me to pray. Remind me that reliance on You is true strength. Help me to remember always that I am but your humble servant and all that I do is in your name and for your glory. Guide me that I may be worthy to lead those you have entrusted to my care. When my earthly life is over, may Your judgment of my words and actions find me blessed with eternal joy with You in heaven.
